Electrician in Farsley

Farsley is the next village along from my base in Pudsey, so it is a short hop — and it shares LS28, which means I am often there anyway.

Farsley's housing stock

Farsley kept its village character, and with it a lot of Victorian stone terracing around Town Street and the old mill streets, plus substantial stone semis and villas on the higher ground. The conservation area around Town Street means external work needs a bit more thought — cable routing on a street-facing stone elevation is not something to do carelessly.

The mill conversions and older terraces throw up two recurring problems: lighting circuits with no circuit protective conductor, which rules out metal fittings until it is put right, and consumer units that have been added to repeatedly over the decades until nobody can say what is on which circuit. An EICR is usually the sensible first step in a house like that, because it tells you what you actually have before you spend anything.
